Bookmarks
Bookmarks are a method of marking pages in your book in order to quickly
find those pages.
The quickest way to bookmark a page is to tap the upper right-hand corner
of the page to "dog-ear" it. A bookmark is created and given a default
name, and a dog-ear is shown in the corner of the page to indicate that it
has been bookmarked.
On handhelds with a jog dial, five-way button, or keyboard, you can create a bookmark on the current page by pressing the jog dial, select button, or return key (respectively).
Another way to add a bookmark is to tap the bookmark toolbar icon
and tap the “Add” button in the dialog that appears.
You will be prompted to name the bookmark so that you can more
easily refer to it later; this name is shown in the Bookmarks dialog.
You can also create a new bookmark by selecting the “New Bookmark” item from the Options menu.
The easiest way to remove a bookmark is to tap the dog-ear. On handhelds with a jog dial, five-way, or keyboard, you can clear a bookmark on the current page by pressing the jog dial, select button, or return key.
To manage all of a book's bookmarks, tap the bookmark toolbar icon, or
choose “Bookmarks…” from the Go menu. This will bring up the Bookmarks dialog which lists all of the book's bookmarks. From this dialog, new
bookmarks may be added, existing bookmarks may be deleted, and you can
jump to any bookmark in the book by selecting it in the list and tapping
the “Go To” button.
Notes are similar to bookmarks in that they are attached to specific pages.
Notes, however, permit you to attach notes of over one thousand characters.
This is useful to add “margin notes” to eBooks.
In eReader Pro highlighted sections of text are saved as notes
and can have comments attached to them. Text highlights appear in the
list of notes and can be managed in the same fashion as notes that are
attached to a page rather than to a section of text.
To attach a note to a page, tap the note toolbar icon
or choose “Add Note…” from the Go menu. You will be presented with a dialog which allows you to specify the name of the note (which appears
in the Notes dialog) and the text of the note itself. Tap Done to exit
the dialog.
In eReader Pro you can also assign a pen to the note; if the note
is attached to a section of text, the text will be highlighted using the
pen's current color.
When a note is attached to a page or a text highlight appears on a page, the note toolbar icon will have a “filled in” appearance.

From the note dialog you can delete the note by tapping on the “Delete” button, or display the previous or next note by tapping on the up or down triangle buttons in the lower right corner of the dialog.
To manage all of a book's notes, tap the note toolbar icon
,
or choose "Notes..." from the Go menu. A dialog similar to the Bookmarks
dialog allows you to add new notes, delete existing notes, and jump to the
page containing a specific note.
