"When you didn't keep your end of our bargain to come by my shop first thing this morning, I thought maybe you were avoiding me."
He held her at a respectable distance, their bodies moving together in perfect harmony with only inches between them. Her fingers tingled beneath his strong grasp. For the first time this morning, she appreciated the extra layers of her bodice. This was not happening.
"I'm sorry I disappointed you, but I'll assume you find nothing indecent about my dress today." Her breasts brushed against his chest, giving him a clear view of her cleavage.
"What makes you think I'm looking for decent?" He glanced at her chest and gave her a mischievous half-grin.
Every nerve in her body flipped on and into overdrive. Yes, she was flirting with fire but one look in his cornflower blue eyes and she didn't care.
He twirled her away from him and then quickly pulled her back into the fold of his strong, sinewy arms.
She tried to breathe, tried to think of something witty to say. "What makes you think I can't be both?"
