As he kissed her hands, he placed each against his bare chest. "Can you not feel my heart trying to leap out of my chest just from being close to you?" The feel of his warm chest against her palms drove her crazy with want for him. "Logan, we can't. What if you have someone waiting for you? I'd hate myself for interfering, for not keeping my professional goals ahead of my own personal feelings." She looked into eyes that could melt her heart, or tear it apart if he ever left. "I know. I know." With each objection, the pure electricity of his touch was stronger, breaking down her reservations. The feel of his chest and the way he moved his lips over her neck became more persuasive than the reasons not to let herself care about him. His lips brushed hers lightly, causing waves of pleasure. The touch of his fingertips, moving gently inside her blouse seemed to awaken the woman who had been buried in grief and guilt throughout the past year.
